Are you living your should life?

On comfort zones and finding the life that's actually yours.

Next week, on Thursday, 7th May, I'm co-hosting a workshop with somatic coach, Laura Martin. We will be creating a powerful space for a 1-hour focus session, guiding you in grounding exercises and giving you the space to define and own your version of success. Because you deserve to live a life that's yours - not the "should life."

Now, let me tell you a little bit more about the should life and how that looked for me.

  • Living independently ✓

  • Promoted consistently ✓

  • Golden handcuffs job ✓

  • Living in the right cities — London, Madrid ✓

  • Travelling flexibility ✓

If I had continued to live my should life, I would 100% not be where I am today. And I can't imagine not living the life I have now. It's the most me I think I've ever felt. I wake up with a sense of calmness that, frankly, money can't buy!

A couple of examples of what I mean:

  • I should have taken another job straight away when I left my last company — no time to breathe, just keep going.

  • I should have stayed in corporate instead of betting on myself and building something new from scratch.

  • I should have stayed on the path that looked impressive, even when it stopped feeling like mine.

  • I shouldn't have dated a colleague, and I definitely shouldn't have been in a long-distance relationship (oops!).

And here's the thing about the should life, it doesn't feel catastrophic. It can actually feel quite comfortable. It's what you know. It feels safe. But there's a niggling feeling inside you that leads you to think: "Is this it? Or is there something more for me?"

That feeling is the key. That's how you know you're on the should path, not YOUR path.

And that's exactly what Laura and I are opening up space for on 7th May.

If this resonates or excites you, I'd love to invite you to Beyond the Performance, a one-hour focus session where we'll guide you through grounding exercises and give you the space to define and own your version of success. Not the should version. Yours. Come as you are, because you deserve to live a life that's actually yours.

I hope to see you there, and I hope that you have an intentional day and week ahead.

Shine bright,

Nadia 💛
