Your Monthly Dose to Happiness
#17 The magic in challenges (and why they matter)
Hello Sunshine,
Happy Monday and welcome to a brand new month!
Remember: You are magic today, tomorrow and every day.
This one is all about remembering the power that’s already within you – even (especially) when things feel tough.
Key Takeaways
Challenges are deeply personal, there’s no universal “scale”
Completing a challenge builds self-trust, not just confidence
We often discover our strength only when we choose to show up
Your challenge is valid, even if others don’t understand it
I set myself challenges to remind myself of the power I have inside me.
Taking something on and seeing it through is such a beautiful way to reconnect with the strength, confidence, and determination that already lives within us.
We carry so much more than we realise. But life gets busy and we forget. We get swept up in the everyday and lose sight of just how extraordinary we truly are.
Challenges look different to everyone. For some, it’s moving abroad, trying a new cuisine, taking on a fitness goal, or starting a new job.
Challenges come in all shapes and sizes. What feels like a mountain to you might look like a small hill to someone else. But that doesn’t make it any less real or any less worthy.
Please don’t forget that.
One of the most memorable challenges I’ve taken on was running the London Marathon.
It tested me physically and mentally in ways I hadn’t experienced before. A lot of people didn’t think I could do it. And while it felt amazing to prove them wrong, it felt even better to prove myself right.
I learned so much:
What makes me feel good.
What I need to work on.
I can push myself further than I thought.
And that I’m also allowed to say, “that’s enough.”
I have no plans to run another marathon ever again.
But I’m so proud I took it on. It was truly a life-shifting experience.
That said, the challenge I’m still experiencing every day is building my own business.
Walking away from a secure career to follow a quiet, persistent knowing that I was meant to support others in reconnecting with themselves was one of the boldest decisions I’ve ever made.
It is hard. It stretches me constantly. But even on the tough days, I feel inspired.
Because at the heart of it all is my purpose. To guide and inspire even one other person to live in alignment with who they truly are.
And that makes every single step worth it.
I’d love to hear from you.
What’s the biggest challenge you’ve taken on?
How did it feel when you came through it?
I bet it felt incredible.

My monthly challenge is to think back to a challenge you once thought you couldn’t handle… but did. What did it show you about yourself? What can you take away for your present and future self?
Hit reply and share it with me, I’d love to hear your story.
Shine bright.

Monthly book recommendations:
Each month, I share three book recommendations. Expect a mix of fiction and non-fiction. I’ve personally read each one, and they’ve all brought something meaningful to me, whether that’s a fresh perspective, a good laugh, or a quiet moment of reflection.
Nine Lies About Work by Marcus Buckingham & Ashley Goodall. An eye-opener on how outdated ideas about work are holding us back. I read this book as I transitioned out of the corporate world; it made me feel seen and assured me I was making the right decision for me.
Open by Andre Agassi. This book is not just about tennis; it’s about identity, pressure and overcoming challenges. I found it to be real and vulnerable and loved the read.
Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. Similarly, this book is not just about cooking. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the chaos and challenges that Bourdain lived through as he became the person he was. I loved this book.
Other resources that have supported my journey:
To be magnetic – A powerful mix of courses and community centred around manifestation and subconscious reprogramming.
Calm - A favourite for mindfulness, sleep and relaxation. You can set gentle daily reminders to disconnect. Click here for a 30-day free trial.
Primeadine® Original - A premium, plant-based spermidine supplement. I’ve loved it for better sleep, sharper focus, and stronger hair. Use code NADIA15 for 15% off.
60-second meditation tool - A beautiful way to pause and reset. Just one minute a day can do wonders.

Hi, I’m Nadia!
I started my personal growth journey when I realised that, even with all I’d achieved, I wasn’t truly clear on what I wanted. That sparked a deep dive into self-discovery, and along the way, I discovered and studied tools that helped me reconnect with myself, and now I support other women to do the same.
If you’re ready to find more clarity, book a free discovery call, I’d love to support you.
