Remember: You are magic today, tomorrow and every day.
Today, I want to explore and share a thought that’s been on my mind lately: Where is your happy place?
Key Takeaways
Your happy place isn’t a fixed location—it’s a feeling. It moves with you, shaped by experiences, growth, and the people around you.
Home is more than four walls. It’s a sense of safety, joy, and alignment that makes you feel like you.
Small things can elevate happiness. Good food, sunshine, water, meaningful conversations—these can help you feel at home, anywhere in the world.
Both happiness and home are deeply personal. There’s no one-size-fits-all definition—so take a moment to explore what those words mean to you.
Whenever I move to a new place, I find myself reflecting on this question.
Is my happy place (my home) a physical location?
A time of day or year?
A memory, or a specific feeling?
The more I think about it, and the live the changes of new places, I’m more sure than ever: My happy place, my home, is a feeling.
It moves with me—it’s not tied to one specific place, but rather to the experiences and people I share my life with. My happy place is where peace and confidence flow. It’s a place where laughter feels easy, so much so that I cry happy tears regularly. It’s a place that challenges me, pushes me to grow, and helps me reach my potential.
My happy place is also sweaty and imperfect. It’s the discipline and hard work that come with reaching my goals. But it’s also about the sweet moments—like the smell of good food filling the air and the feeling of a full stomach after a delicious meal, or finishing a book and sharing a learning with my husband.
I guess what I’m really saying is: My happy place isn’t one fixed location. It’s the journey and the people on my journey that make it memorable. It’s safety, joy, and growth wrapped up in one beautiful, homely feeling.
Having lived in several countries and cities over my life, another question that regularly came up in conversation was: What does home mean to me?
For a long time, I didn’t have a straightforward answer. When people asked me, “Where do you live?” I’d respond, “Right here… at least for this week.” It felt like home was a transient idea, not tied to a single place.
But after some deep thinking, I realised and can confidently say that home is also a feeling.
To me, home is where I feel happy, confident, and at ease. It's where I feel like me. Home isn’t defined by four walls and a roof, but by the connection I feel to myself and the environment around me. It could be anywhere—because home, just like happiness, isn’t limited to one spot or one moment.
For me, if there’s delicious food, blue skies, and some kind of water nearby, and my favourite people around, my happiness levels are automatically elevated, making me feel at home, anywhere. These simple things make me feel grounded and peaceful, there’s nothing like it.
So, where’s your happy place? Where’s your home?
I’d love to hear your thoughts—hit reply and share with me!

My monthly challenge is to create moments of “home” wherever you are.
Each week, do one small thing that makes you feel more at home—whether it’s lighting your favourite candle, calling someone who grounds you, cooking a comforting meal, or journaling in a space that brings you peace.
Notice how intentionally creating your happy place—even in the smallest ways—can shift your energy and bring more joy into your everyday.
Hit reply and let me know if you can relate to this story.
Shine bright.
Monthly book recommendations:
Each month, I share three book recommendations. Expect a mix of fiction and non-fiction. I’ve personally read each one, and they’ve all brought something meaningful to me, whether that’s a fresh perspective, a good laugh, or a quiet moment of reflection.
Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It by Kamal Ravikant. is a raw and powerful reminder of how repeating one simple mantra—"I love myself"—can help pull you out of even the darkest moments. Blending memoir, mindset, and practical tools, the book shows how consistent self-love can completely shift how we feel and show up in the world. I loved it because it reminded me that choosing myself every day isn’t selfish—it’s essential to feeling truly happy and at home, wherever I am.
The Big Five For Life by John Strelecky. This book had me in tears, and I’ve already recommended it to many. It’s a very easy read, following the main character who shares inspiring discussions with his mentor. The principles in this book, such as The Big Five for Life and Museum Day Morning truly changed the way I live.
Not That Anyone Asked by Travis Wesson King. Another one of my favourites. This book follows a young traveller on his adventures in South America. He knew the home life that everyone expected of him wasn’t going to make him happy. Instead of conforming to not disappoint others, he took a risk and did what felt right to him and had an extended unplanned adventure of a lifetime!

Hi, I’m Nadia!
I started my personal growth journey when I realised that, even with all I’d achieved, I wasn’t truly clear on what I wanted. That sparked a deep dive into self-discovery, and along the way, I discovered and studied tools that helped me reconnect with myself, and now I support other women to do the same.
